Now available in the U.S. and Australia. Plan a flight in 2 clicks. Automated airspace access. Empowering everyone to safely access the sky.
We've developed an API for OpenSky that allows companies to make OpenSky available to its own users through their own app.
Type in a specific address or just pinpoint your geolocation, and we’ll tailor a flight brief to your operation and drone. You only see the airspace rules that apply to your specific drone operation, so you can have confidence in your flight plan.

The app will advise when the airspace is clear for flight, or if the airspace is restricted. In the event you cannot fly, we will let you know the specific flight rules that apply, so you can make the proper adjustments to fly in compliance with local rules, or change your flight plan.

“OpenSky is excellent in navigating where you can and can’t fly specifically in our area, which is next to smaller airports that are typically not even known about.”
“OpenSky has all areas mapped out really well and it helps provide a quick overview of the area that I’m planning to fly in.”
“OpenSky is really instrumental in finding out where you can fly right before you take off -- it has definitely changed the way we work.”
OpenSky is a free mobile and web application that provides airspace information like when and where it’s safe to fly and automated airspace approvals to drone operators so they can safely navigate the sky. Regulators around the world classify uncrewed traffic management services, like OpenSky, as a UAS service supplier (USS). OpenSky supports many types of drone users, recreational or commercial.
The OpenSky app is currently available in the United States and Australia on Google Play and the App Store. A web version of the OpenSky app is available to users visiting those countries at opensky.wing.com. OpenSky is also in Beta in France. OpenSky will be coming to other countries soon!
Drone pilots planning to fly in the United States under 400 feet in controlled airspace around airports must receive an airspace authorization from the FAA before they fly. LAANC is the Low Altitude Authorization and Notification Capability, which provides drone pilots with automated authorization to access controlled airspace at or below 400 feet through FAA Approved UAS Service Suppliers (USS).
Wing launched its OpenSky app in Australia to enable everyone to safely access the sky.
Meet the first drone safety apps, OpenSky, AirMapIO, AiRXOS and Ok2fly, to be approved for use in Australia.
