For the first time ever, Wing joined Google I/O to showcase the speed and convenience of drone delivery.

Google I/O brings together thousands of tech enthusiasts and leaders to explore cutting-edge innovations and peek into the future. This year, Wing's highly automated drones joined the whirlwind of new ideas, demos, and discussions, all aimed at making lives a little easier.

It wasn't long ago that drone delivery seemed like a pie in the sky idea. But during I/O, Wing delivered pies from the skies in just minutes, showing what it means when people no longer have to leave home to get what they want.

"Speed is also of the essence in other kinds of emergencies. During last year’s hurricane season, Wing, in partnership with Walmart and the Red Cross, provided relief efforts with drone deliveries. We can imagine how this could be helpful in disaster relief in other communities, and are actively working to scale.” - Sundar Pichai, I/O Keynote

At I/O, Wing offered a glimpse into a future where people can get what they need, when they need it, faster than ever before. At the same time, with Wing’s latest expansion to Charlotte with DoorDash, more people than ever have access to deliveries in as little as 15 minutes.

Stay tuned for more updates as Wing continues to expand services and bring the future of delivery to even more neighborhoods!
