Wing is investing $125 million to build our next-generation aircraft in the United States, supporting expansion coast-to-coast.
American aviation has always been defined by a drive to overcome the impossible. Building on a century of safety and innovation, Wing is advancing a secure, domestic, drone delivery system at scale, reinforcing U.S. aviation leadership while reaching millions of people across the nation.
From lab to daily life
Wing began in 2012 at X, Alphabet’s Moonshot Factory, born from a belief that there’s a better way to deliver a two-pound package than in a two-ton vehicle. Wing focused on solving the hardest problem first: deliveries to homes, where each route is unique and neighborhoods constantly change with new obstacles like pools, landscaping, and parked cars.
After years of iterative design and rigorous testing in California, we evolved our belief into a system that delivers thousands of packages every day and has completed over one million deliveries to homes in the U.S. this year alone.
An industry inflection point
Wing is now focused on meeting the growing demand for near-instantaneous delivery with proven technology and clear safety standards. Since earning the nation’s first Part 135 Air Carrier Certificate for drone operations in 2019, we have scaled from research to America’s leading drone delivery service.
Today, we operate the largest drone delivery footprint in the U.S., serving major metros from over 70 sites. With Wing’s plans to reach over 40 million Americans by 2027 across nearly 20 U.S. markets and the upcoming release of the Beyond Visual Line of Sight rule, the industry is poised for a massive expansion that will secure American leadership in the skies for decades to come.
To meet this growth, Wing is investing in our R&D and engineering capabilities in California, the communities in which we operate, and our newest 15,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Fort Worth, Texas. At this facility, we are creating up to 100 new modern manufacturing jobs and investing up to $125M in direct manufacturing over the next two years. As we continue to invest in American innovation, this facility will have the capacity to build tens of thousands of aircraft each year, supporting our drone delivery service expansion across the nation.

“Drone delivery has become a global reality, driven by clear demand from our partners and their customers,” said Adam Woodworth, CEO of Wing. “The U.S. is our focus for growth, and by investing in the future of drone delivery here, we are continuing to advance American aviation innovation as we build our commercial momentum.”
Wing’s technology is ready to accelerate. Together, we can ensure the future of aviation is built, scaled, and secured in the United States.
