About the Role:

Wing is looking for a Manufacturing Operations Manager to join our Manufacturing and Supply chain team based in Dallas, Texas. In this role you will lead the planning and execution of hardware activities through our manufacturing partners. Your efforts will be crucial to deliver new hardware for business operations. The ideal candidate has a passion for making an impact in a fast paced environment, and the ability to deliver results as part of a dynamic, cross-functional team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the Manufacturing Operations  activities with our contract manufacturer through new initiatives within the hardware organization
  • Coordinate  with down stream functions for demand and availability of airplanes
  • Liaison with manufacturing process, quality and test team along with global central organization for issue resolution and driving new initiatives 
  • Strong written communication and organizational skills with demonstrated cross functional collaboration
  • Strong leader with demonstrated people management skills and cross regional management
  • This role would require working outside business hours or/and on weekends during escalations for issue resolution

What You’ll Need:

Bachelor's degree in a directly related field, or equivalent practical experience

  • 8+ years of industry experience in one or more of the following fields: Product development and or Manufacturing Operations 
  • Experience working on capability enhancement, capacity management, scaling up or down based on business needs
  • Program Management Experience with a proven track record of successful implementation in a matrix organization working with quality, process and test teams
  • Experience with continuous improvement to minimize  product costs
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and thrive in a rapidly changing business environment
  • Be prepared for 10-15% travel

Bonus: 

  • Passion or interest in aviation
  • Capability to think strategically, balancing a broad range of internal and external factors when identifying problems, proposing solutions, and making decisions
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or Manufacturing Execution System(MES) and traceability requirements for high reliability industries
