Are Wing's drones safe?
Wing’s lightweight delivery drones are among the safest ways to transport goods. We’ve flown hundreds of thousands of deliveries to homes, and we have multiple levels of redundancy built into our operations. To offer this service in the U.S., the FAA has certified the safety of Wing’s drones and flight operations.
Wing complies with all applicable privacy laws and regulations, in addition to upholding our global privacy policy. Our drones are equipped with camera sensors used primarily to assist with navigation and to help ensure the safety and reliability of our operations. There is no live feed of images to anyone, including the pilots-in-command supervising flights.
How is Wing regulated?
Wing has the necessary permissions from regulatory bodies in every region where we operate. In the U.S., Wing holds a Part 135 Air Carrier Certificate through the FAA, the same certification as many traditional commercial airliners. Plus, we go through a rigorous environmental review by the FAA to ensure there is no significant impact to the environment in the areas we operate.
Are your drones loud?
Wing's drones cruise above 150ft and feature propellers designed to be quieter than common delivery vehicles, allowing Wing's service to blend into everyday neighborhood sounds.
Convenient ordering
Access Wing through apps you already use like Walmart and DoorDash, or Wing’s own marketplace. During the checkout, you'll see your home's delivery zone.
Intelligent flight plans
Wing’s advanced flight navigation system plans and executes its own routes, and our highly automated drones conduct health and safety checks before and throughout each delivery.
Ultra-fast transportation
Certified pilots oversee operations as Wing's drones cruise at up to 65mph with average flight times of five minutes or less. Ahead of delivery, you'll receive a notification on your app of Wing's arrival.
Gentle package delivery
With Wing drone delivery, no need to unclip the package, just grab your goods after they're gently lowered to the ground and the drone has flown away.
