Wing is looking for Technical Program Managers to join our Engineering team. The ideal candidate has a passion for design & development, demonstrated knowledge of and experience in bringing complex systems to market, and the ability to deliver results as part of a dynamic, cross-functional team. Execution against challenging timelines with laser focus on most critical needs is paramount.
What You’ll Do:
Drive production deployment of multiple, cross-discipline features and capabilities of the Wing delivery system - including feature prioritization, task management, bug triage, resource assignment, tracking and reporting with clear connection to the organizational commitments and priorities.
Drive and/or support deployment activities of the Wing delivery system, including new markets, expansion of existing markets and high profile demonstrations for regulatory and/or policy focused strategic initiatives.
Implement and/or improve engineering processes and workflows to increase efficiencies, minimize disruptions and maximize potential while balancing rigor with agility.
Work with other TPMs, Technical Leads (TL) and Product Managers (PM) to collaborate and identify solutions to business objectives while maintaining realistic timelines and achieving predictable outcomes.
What You'll Need:
BS degree in computer science, electrical engineering, aeronautical engineering or related field.
6+ years experience in software and/or hardware development lifecycles.
Strong track-record of effective technical project management skills: software/services, hardware, systems engineering, project planning, status reporting, task scoping & estimation, issue tracking, meeting facilitation, process documentation, priorities alignment, and superb communication skills (technical and non-technical peers and stakeholders).
Passion for product excellence, depth of technical knowledge and ability to find creative solutions as demonstrated through bringing new complex products to market.
Collaborative team player and creative thinker, ability to adapt to different working styles, changing priorities and unforeseen challenges in a positive and productive way.
Master’s degree or PhD in computer science, electrical engineering, aeronautical engineering or related fields.
Background in commercial and/or government aerospace industry program management as well as consumer and/or enterprise software industry program management.
Experience developing and commercializing complex automated systems.
Knowledge of Python, C/C++, MATLAB, GCS, SQL and/or other application and cloud based systems.
Comfortable working on mid-stage startup projects in an environment of ambiguity and change.
